Stress Management Programme
Prevention, not damage control.
A structured, evidence-rooted stress management programme for organisations — built on 24+ years of applied yogic science, and updated for what stress actually looks like in the workplace today.
Why This Matters More Now Than It Did Even a Few Years Ago
Workplace stress hasn't gone away — it's changed shape. Burnout is now understood as chronic and cumulative rather than a single bad week, and organisations are shifting from reacting after someone breaks down to preventing it in the first place. Leadership training now includes stress and emotional regulation as core management skills, not just an HR checkbox.
A newer pressure has entered the picture too: uncertainty and rapid change at work — from AI adoption reshaping roles to constant organisational change — is now a measurable, named source of employee anxiety in its own right, alongside the older, familiar pressures of workload and deadlines.
At the same time, most of what's being sold to solve this is another app, another chatbot, another dashboard. Anandabodh's approach is the opposite of that, deliberately: a real teacher, in the room or on the call, working with your people directly, week after week, using practices that have been refined for thousands of years rather than shipped as a beta feature. In an environment saturated with digital wellness tools, that human, sustained, embodied approach is not old-fashioned — it's precisely what's missing.
What the Programme Delivers
Conducted under Anandabodh's yoga and stress-management research practice, this programme allows participants to personally intervene and reverse the vicious cycle of stress and anxiety into a virtuous cycle of health, happiness, and peace — at the individual level and, cumulatively, across the organisation.
The programme guides participants in preventing and managing common workplace-linked issues — eye strain, neck, shoulder and back problems — improves posture, vitalises the body, and enhances awareness and concentration. It also nurtures a sense of oneness in the workplace, improving both inter-personal and intra-personal relationships, and helps transform the mind into a driving force for positive change rather than a source of reactive stress.
Benefits to Corporates
- Improvement in adaptability, team spirit, satisfaction, and leadership qualities
- Improvements in analytical and mathematical skills, memory, and concentration
- Better neuromuscular coordination and understanding
- Improved workplace behaviour and attitude
- Reduced attrition rate
- Enhanced learning ability
- Higher productivity — increased efficiency, reduced absenteeism
- Reduced costs — lower medical and hospitalisation expenses
- Stronger early-warning culture — employees and managers equipped to recognise rising stress before it becomes a crisis, not just respond after
Built for How Organisations Actually Want This Delivered Now
- Prevention-first, not crisis-only — regular practice that builds resilience before burnout, not a one-time seminar after it
- A genuine daily/weekly habit, not an annual wellness-week event — stress management that lives inside the normal rhythm of work
- Whole-person, not just physical — body, breath, mind, and emotional regulation addressed together, the way yoga has always approached it
- Leadership-inclusive — available as a track for managers specifically, since how a manager handles their own stress shapes their entire team
- Human-led throughout — every session guided by an experienced teacher, not an app notification
Programme Formats
Introductory — 1-Day / 3-Day Programme
A focused introduction for organisations testing the waters, or as a standalone wellness-day event. Ideal for leadership offsites, team wellness days, or a first experience before committing to a longer engagement.
Standard — 3-Day / 5-Day Programme
A more complete arc — enough time for participants to feel a genuine shift, not just sample a class. This is the most requested format for departments and mid-sized teams.
Sustained — Short Programmes, 1–3 Weeks (90 Minutes Each)
Repeated sessions over several weeks, allowing the practice to become habit rather than a one-off event. This format shows the strongest long-term impact on the outcomes above, since sustained practice — not a single workshop — is what actually changes behaviour and builds real resilience.
All programme modules are flexible and can be adapted to the specific requirements of your participants and organisation. Sessions are taught within the Bihar School of Yoga system.
Three Tracks, Built for Three Different Realities
A CEO's stress, a mid-level manager's stress, and a shift-floor worker's stress are not the same problem — different causes, different available time, different privacy needs, different language. Rather than run one generic programme for everyone, we offer three named tracks under the same Stress Management umbrella, each built for how that group actually works.
Sthira — The Executive Calm Programme & The Steady Leader Programme
For leadership, CXOs, and senior management
Sthira means steadiness — the quality Patanjali names as the first requirement of any posture, physical or otherwise. This track is built around what leaders actually have: very little time, constant decision-making, and a need for privacy. Sessions are short, high-impact, and can run one-on-one or in small, confidential leadership groups — early morning, between meetings, or built into an offsite.
- Focus: decision fatigue, sustained composure under pressure, sleep and recovery, emotional regulation during high-stakes moments
- Format: 1:1 or small confidential groups (up to 6–8), 20–45 minute sessions, flexible scheduling
- Practices: focused pranayama, short seated meditation, brief Yoga Nidra for recovery — depth over duration
Samatva — The Balanced Workday Programme
For employees, mid-level managers, and department teams
Samatva — equanimity, balance — is how the Bhagavad Gita itself defines yoga: “yoga is evenness of mind.” This is the core, team-based track most organisations start with — regular group sessions that build both individual stress tools and genuine team cohesion, addressing the everyday pressures of workload, deadlines, and constant communication.
- Focus: workload and deadline stress, communication under pressure, team cohesion, sustainable daily habits
- Format: group sessions (department or team-sized), 45–90 minutes, weekly or sustained multi-week format recommended
- Practices: the full range — asana, pranayama, group meditation, relaxation, and practical take-home techniques
Prana Break — Micro-Recovery for Frontline & Shift Teams - “Breath Break and Shift Reset Programme”
For frontline staff, shift workers, and operational teams
Prana — breath, life-force — is the fastest lever we have for shifting state, which is exactly what this track is built around: very short, breath-based recovery techniques that fit inside an actual shift break, not a scheduled hour that frontline staff can rarely spare. Simple, safety-conscious, and taught in plain language.
- Focus: physical fatigue, alertness and safety, quick recovery between demanding shifts, accessible techniques with no prior experience needed
- Format: 10–20 minute micro-sessions, fitted around shift patterns and break schedules, delivered on-site
- Practices: simple breathing techniques, brief stretches, short guided relaxation — nothing that requires a mat, a quiet room, or a long block of time
All three tracks can run independently or together — many organisations start with Samatva for the broader team and Sthira for leadership in parallel, then add Prana Break once they see what their frontline teams actually need.
