The best part of facial yoga is that it can be done anywhere and at any time. You will only need 15 minutes from your daily schedule to practice it.
Try these 3 facial yoga practices that will erase your dark circles and smoothen the puffiness around your eyes:
1. Tap your dark circles away
Place your index and middle finger on the inner side of your eye socket. Press gently for 5 to 10 seconds. Next, start tapping the under-eye region lightly. Go from inside to outside and trace the area in a circular fashion till above your eyebrows. Do 10 to 15 repetitions of this as a part of your facial yoga routine.
Even expensive under-eye patches can’t do what facial yoga for dark circles can.
The tapping action will improve blood circulation in the area, and this improved blood flow will lighten dark circles, making your under-eye area look healthy and youthful.
2. Use the victory sign to remove puffiness
Make a victory sign using your index and middle finger. Place the index finger on the outer corner of the eye and the middle finger on the inner corner. You will have to perform this exercise for both the eyes simultaneously. Use very light pressure to press your fingers down and look up with your eyeballs.
The trick here is that you cannot wrinkle up your forehead. So, ensure that you keep your forehead absolutely smooth even when you’re looking up. Squint your eyes slightly and hold this for a minimum of 10 seconds. Doing this thrice a day will ensure that you don’t experience puffiness.
3. Pull back for smooth under-eye skin
Place the index finger on your eyebrow and the middle finger below your eye. Do this for both the eyes. Now, pull the fingers towards the hairline with light pressure on the skin. As you pull the fingers, close the gap between them.
By the time they reach your hairline, there should be no gap between the fingertips. Tap at the hairline slightly. Now, repeat this 3 to 5 times. This will smoothen the skin under your eyes and enhance blood circulation which will lighten the dark circles.
